The third in AIGA KC’s Mind Your Own Business series, Starting a Studio is a dialogue about what it takes to begin a design firm or agency. When do I hire my first employee? What should I consider when moving into new offices? Should I incorporate or not? How many designers can one account executive support? Do I need to offer health insurance? Can I work as a virtual agency? What is my exit strategy? Three experienced panelists will discuss these questions and more. This event is designed for any creative professional who is considering starting a business or in-house department.
