Bring found objects, souvenirs, posters, flyers, packaging, photographs or any other memorabilia from your foreign travels or from the diversity that you have found around the city to become part of an installation taking place that evening. You can purchase something from a local international market or make copies of souvenirs or pictures that you do not want to give up to the installation.

WHAT IS WORLD DAY OF DESIGN?
World Day of Design is an international holiday celebrated throughout the world on April 27, acknowledging the vital role of design in the public arena. U.S. designers and the public are invited to join in celebrating a day already recognized in such countries as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Italy, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and Turkey. The theme for this year's exhibition is diversity, broadly defined as a point of respect in which things differ.

In support of this initiative, AIGA KC will be showcasing posters by designers from around the United States. These national poster submissions were jurored and selected by a panel of internationally recognized AIGA design professionals including: John Bielenberg, C2, Belfast, Maine; Paula Scher, Pentagram Design, New York ; Erez Steinberg and Gia Giasullo, Studio eg, Oakland ; Petrula Vrontikis, Vrontikis Design, Los Angeles.
